Grumbahcer Pre-Tested Professional Oil Colors – (5.07oz/150ml) Zinc White

Grumbacher Pre-Tested Oil Paint has long stood for professional quality oil color. Each color swatch has been tested for masstone and mixability, and has been painted by hand. It is further tested by our staff for characteristics such as lightfastness, drying properties, pigment dispersion and viscosity. Draw downs are compared and formulas are altered to ensure that our customers receive the best oil color at the best price. Truly a professional paint, the majority of our colors are single pigment with superior tinting strength and have a lightfast rating of 1-excellent. 

Grumbacher Pre-tested Professional Oil Paint, Zinc White, is made with pure pigments milled in alkali-refined linseed oil. Zinc White is permanent, brilliant semi-transparent Snow White with an excellent tinting strength and working properties. This oil paint makes the cleanest tints of all of the oil painting Whites, however, because it dries to a relative brittle paint film by itself, we recommend that its use be restricted to making tints. Zinc White was introduced as an oil color in 1890 as a bright replacement for Flake White.
