It is great to have on hand when you want to tone large areas of a drawing or painting, or to add shadows and textures. With charcoal powder, you can cover surfaces using a cloth, your fingers, a cotton swab, or other similar tools. Very handy for large drawings and backgrounds. Blends well with all charcoal and pastels and is often used in mixed media projects.
